About Us
DALI was born from a personal journey...
While living in Washington, D.C., our Colombian-born founder and her family began planning a future in Spain, spending summers in Asturias while balancing remote work, local travel, and summer camps for their children; what began as seasonal escapes gradually evolved into a more permanent commitment, including purchasing a property, creating a short-term rental to support their investment, and building a trusted network of local partners—an experience that revealed both the rewards and challenges of an international lifestyle and ultimately inspired the creation of DALI to help others navigate the same journey with clarity and confidence.

Our logo reflects this journey. The green Celtic spirals honor Asturias’ heritage and landscapes, while the golden pre-Columbian motif connects to Colombia’s cultural roots. Together, they form a circle — a symbol of wholeness, connection, and continuity. The circle also represents the bridge between cultures — Europe and the Americas — and the idea of embracing a complete lifestyle, not just an investment property. It is a visual expression of our mission to help families, professionals, and retirees find not only a home, but a community and a fulfilling way of life abroad.

About Our Founder
Claudia Salazar Suárez
Claudia is a professional, an expat, and a mom raising multicultural children alongside her Spanish husband. Through DALI, she brings together personal experience and professional expertise to help families and professionals create their own life abroad.
For more than 20 years, Claudia has built a career in international development, providing technical assistance, multi-stakeholder communications, and documenting results, while working in multicultural teams to design and manage programs across Latin America and the Caribbean. With an Executive MBA from IE Business School in Madrid and a degree in Economics and International Business from ICESI University in Colombia, she has consistently approached her work with an entrepreneurial mindset — blending strategy, analysis, and creativity to bring projects to life.

Claudia's professional journey encompasses some of the most dynamic institutions in the region — from the Organization of American States (OAS) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) to USAID implementing partners — where she developed the ability to bridge diverse interests, coordinate across cultures, and turn complex initiatives into tangible results.

Having lived in Washington, D.C. for more than two decades, she brings a deep understanding of the complexities of life abroad, combining through DALI her cross-cultural experience across Latin America, the United States, and Europe with her personal journey as an expat and entrepreneur. She is guided by a clear mission: to make each transition abroad seamless, enriching, and inspiring, and to help others realize their dream of an international lifestyle.
